GUIDANCE
AND COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
Our guidance office offers academic, personal and career counseling
throughout the year to students of all levels. The counselor
develops and coordinates conferences, workshops, a Career
and College Day to support the orientation program. The services
of the guidance department are not limited to the students.
Parents are welcomed and encouraged to visit the counselor
to discuss any concern regarding their children, or to request
a meeting with teachers. Evaluation and progress reports are
given in October, March, December and May. Parents may meet
individually with teachers to discuss these evaluations. Students
who obtain below than an average score (D, F) in any given
class are required to meet with their parents and the school’s
counselor to discuss, determine and design a plan to help
them improve their academic performance. We have high expectations
for all students, and work to help each child reach his/her
maximum potential as an individual.
